Summer may be over soon so we have to enjoy the most of it. If you happen to be in Atlantic Canada you can still check out some cool festivals before its season ends. These festivals are smaller and based less on electronic dance music, but they do have stages dedicated to electronic music so you can still camp out, drink and dance your night away.

Collaborate & Listen

Collaborate & Listen is a 3 Day Music & Art Festival deep in the boondocks of Kingston, New Brunswick. This event will be held August 19th to the 21st, bringing you some of the finest acts from the Maritimes and beyond! This festival has stages dedicated to electronic music, but no lineup has been confirmed yet.

Freedom Fest

This is the festival’s second instalment; it will include up to 60 acts such as fire spinners and acts, pole dancing, workshops, yoga, and camping. for the whole family. So if you’re looking for a family friendly festival, with a mix of great bands and DJs, this would be the place to go. You would also be contributing to a great cause, as Freedom Fest will be donating 51{ab62426eb0232180cc22cdea6e38499fd4fb33de0e0e4b0c144365b46cb3014c} of all proceeds to local charities (Habitat for Humanity and Christmas Mummies).

Mount Funky

It’s been called the secret gem of the East Coast festival season–also called the Mountain of Dreams–Mount Funky is a small intimate gathering where strangers become friends and friends become family. This festival may have the best electronic lineup yet and it has a very affordable price starting at just $70 for early bird tickets, $80 thereafter and then $90 at the gate.

Messtival

This is a theme based festival that really likes to make fun of itself. This year’s theme is wrestling and they’re ready to put the smack down (I had to say it) on your summer. It has an electronic stage that starts at 1:00 AM, titled Loserville and it will feature artists like Ben Rama, Bits, Derb, Wobble Wallah, Funkswag and Daryl and His Boogie Buttons. This is a one-day festival–Saturday thru Sunday–and they will even have wrestling matches.

Pocologan Party

Reaching its 10th anniversary this year they’ll be featuring solid electronic acts such as Awal, Bits, Elephant Skeletons, Betsy White, Hi-Def, Anubass, BassGrynder, Kardynal Syn, among others. With a pretty price of just $40 or $50 at the gate, why not check it out!
